When you are interested in being in a relationship with somebody, you go out on dates and both of you dress to impress.

While you are out on nice dates, you listen to each other in order to get to know each other.

However, after you both commit to the relationship and you move in together, you start to get into a routine and the romance may fall by the wayside.

Both of you now feel comfortable to let your guard down and to be yourself. You may no longer feel the need to impress your partner and look your best.

After all, your partner loves you even when you wake up in the morning looking less the perfect.

Here are some ways to keep the romance going.

Once a week or minimally once a month, write a love note to your partner.

The notes can have smiley faces or hearts with a few encouraging or loving words such as “I love you the way you are,” “Good night my love, sweet dreams” or “good morning, love, your smile brightens my day.”

You can write the message on a sticky note, and put it in your bedroom. You can add more notes over time so your partner can see how much you love them every time they walk into the room.

When you see that your partner is having a bad day or they are feeling down, you can get them a helium balloon with a message “I love you,” “you are the greatest,” or “thinking of you.”

Balloons always bring smiles to people’s faces. You don’t have to wait for a day that your partner is feeling down, you can buy a balloon and let it float around your home to just to show your love.

Bring home a rose, chocolate bar or ice cream “just because you love them.” Don’t wait for a special occasion to show your love in these small but meaningful ways.

These little things go a very long way when it comes to romance and love.
