A bank teller was surprised when a robber asked her to return his note after she refused to give him the cash that he demanded, according to police in Canada.

The Toronto Police Service announced that they are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the man involved in the bank robbery.

On Friday at around 12:30 p.m., a man entered a bank inside the Jane Finch Mall. The man then handed the teller a hold-up note.

The suspect demanded a specific amount of money, and when he did not obtain any money, he demanded his note back. The suspect then fled the scene, and was later seen taking the Finch Avenue bus headed eastbound.

Security camera images of the smiling man from the bus have been released. He is described as a black male around 28 years old, around 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds.

He is thin build, with a thin mustache and beard. He has some gold upper teeth, and was wearing black clothing and red running shoes.
