Uber driver takes passengers to destinations before returning to their homes and robbing them

(Scroll down for video) An Uber driver was arrested for a string of burglaries.

Delaware State Police worked together with the Bethany Beach Police Department to catch the man behind multiple robberies in Sussex County.

The six-month investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Saddam Awadallah of Frankford. Awadallah was arrested in Tennessee, and extradited back to Delaware.

Police said that Awadallah would drive passengers from their homes to businesses or restaurants.

While his passengers were away, Awadallah went to their homes, where he stole credit cards, computers, watches, cell phones, tablets, and other items.

Awadallah was charged with eleven counts of theft and criminal mischief, three counts of second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools and theft of a victim older than 62.

He remains in jail on $31,000 bond.
