A clever mother saved her daughter from being sexually abused by teaching her some life skills to defend herself.

The mother of the United Kingdom, was scared when she heard reports that a man was targeting young girls in their neighborhood, and asking them for sexual favors.

The mother told her 14-year-old daughter to use her phone to take a photo of the man if he ever tried to harm her.

Sadly, the day came when the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, needed to use the tactic.

One day, while she was walking on the street, 45-year-old Roger Seath of Hampshire, approached the girl and backed her into a corner.

He then warned her that he will hit her if she did not come with him. The quick thinking girl grabbed her phone and took a photo of the suspect.

Seath froze in shock long enough for a passing car to see what he was doing. The witness walked up to him and the girl escaped.

Police were called and Seath was arrested. Police found many photos and videos of teenage girls on his phone.

Judge Anne Arnold praised the teenager for her actions at the Portsmouth Crown Court, where Seath pleaded guilty to attempted kidnapping with the intention of committing a sex offense and having a bladed article, a knife, in a public place.

Seath was sentenced to 33 months in prison and must register as sex offender for 10 years, as well as a lifetime order restricting him access to children.
