However, his plan backfired when he was arrested over his actions.

Police in Japan, said that 54-year-old Masaru Miura was bleeding when he came into the police station to report that he had been stabbed.

Miura told police that he had been attacked by a stranger while he was relieving himself at a train station.

Detective interviewed Miura, who claimed that he was stabbed at 7:20 a.m., with a kitchen knife in the restroom at the Nagoya Municipal Subway station in Kasugai.

Officers immediately went to the location to search for the suspect. They wanted to remove the dangerous individual from the streets so that he does not hurt another person.

Officers found the bloody knife at the scene. They took it for evidence and to gather fingerprints.

However, while piecing evidence together, officers suspected that Miura was not telling the whole truth.

After being confronted, Miura admitted that he stabbed himself in order to get a day off from work, which was very stressful.

Miura spent his day off behind bars as he was arrested on a charge of interfering with police duties.
