A man who became angry with his mother for not buying him cigarettes, assaulted her with his food, according to police in Georgia.

Athens-Clarke County police said that they have arrested 29-year-old Terry Bernard Ball Jr., after being accused of assaulting mother with a pork chop.

Ball has been charged with battery. He was also charged with a probation violation related to a previous criminal matter.

According to the police investigation, Ball arrived at his parents’ home located on Simmons Street around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

His 60-year-old mother invited him inside, and gave him a pork chop for dinner. Ball then asked his mother for cigarettes. When she refused to give him cigarettes, Ball became angry.

He threw the pork chop at his mother and then head-butted her. Ball’s father intervened and held him down until police arrived.
