Millions of people around the world get to low points in their lives.

While many people have family or friends who can support them and help them get through difficult times, thousands of others don’t.

These people may feel that their lives are so terrible that it is not worth living. However, death is never the answer to any problem.

I heard someone say that he decided against suicide “as one never knows what the afterlife is like and maybe things will be worse over there.”

This is a sad joke. However, there are so many good reasons why one should never give up on life.

Life will get better. Nobody is down on their luck forever. One is never lost or alone in the world as there are so many people willing and able to help you.

If you are in a situation where you feel helpless and you think that suicide is an option to stop your pain, then call 1-800-SUICIDE (1–800–784–2433) or you can call your local police station, and they can provide you with information and phone numbers to professionals who can help you get through this difficult time.

You may think that taking your own life will stop your misery, depression, loneliness or pain. You might tell yourself the world will be better off without you, or that nobody will notice or care if you are no longer alive.

However, that is not the case. You matter, you deserve to have a better life and you can have a better life.

The first thing to do is to call someone. Whether it is the suicide hotline or someone who you know or trust. It is very important to let someone know how you feel.

If you have the courage, you can make yourself feel better by visiting sick people in a hospital or elderly people at a nursing home. You will be surprised to see how upbeat some of them are. You will see that they don’t give up on their lives despite living with constant emotional and physical pain and suffering.

There have been people who attempted to commit suicide, but they were unsuccessful, and they were forced to live with horrific consequences.

One such example is Andy Sandness of Wyoming. Sandness was 21 years old when he attempted to commit suicide.

He used a gun to shoot himself in the mouth. Sandness survived, but he was left with horrific injuries. He lost his teeth, chin, nose, and most of the flesh below his eyes.

He was left very disfigured, which forced him to stay indoors. After ten years of suffering humiliation and being unable to eat properly, Sandness received a groundbreaking transplant surgery. He was giving a completely new face.

Sandness said that after shooting himself, he immediately regretted his actions, but it was too late for him.

Don’t do it. You can overcome any situation. Just reach out, stay strong and you will be glad you did.
