A girl sued her father for causing a car accident, which left her with permanent spinal injuries.

The girl won her lawsuit and she was awarded $4.1 million by a jury in New Jersey.

The girl who was identified as Ms Kim, was 14-years-old when she was riding in the backseat of her father’s vehicle.

Her father, Isaac Kim, blew through a stop sign on the corner of Atwood Avenue and North Summit Street in Tenafly, and crashed into another vehicle.

The girl suffered two herniated discs in her neck and one in her back, and she will have to undergo spinal surgery.

The girl sued her father in order to have his insurance company pay for her injuries. The insurance company offered to settle the case for $15,000. However, the girl’s family declined the offer and they went to trial. She was awarded $4.1 million.

Superior Court Judge Charles Powers dismissed Allstate’s request for a new trial.
