(Scroll down for video) Police in Canada, announced that they are happy to be able to close an old case of two missing people who were found after missing for 30 years.
The sisters Anna, 67, and Kym Hakze, 53, were last seen by their family in 1981 in Canada.
However, their mother only reported them missing in 2003, as there had been family turmoil when the sisters left the city of Lethbridge.
After not hearing from her daughters for many years, the mother decided to get the police involved. Over the years, police said that they received many tips, but it all ended without finding the women.
Four years ago, their mother passed away and she never learned what happened to her two daughters.
Recently, after piecing together a number of leads, detectives found the younger sister.
Kym told police that she and Anna did not know they were subjects of missing persons cases.
They did not disclose much information about their lives.
However, police said that the sisters left Canada on their own accord so that they can move on from their family situation and they changed their names to get a fresh start.
The sisters are alive and well, and their brother Ken said that he is very much looking forward to reuniting with his them.
