(Scroll down for video) A family sued a man after he received a very short prison term for raping their daughter.

47-year-old James Hohenshell, of Iowa, allowed his daughter to invite her friends to his home for a sleepover.

There he plied the 13-year-old girls with alcohol. When the girls were passed out drunk, he raped one of them.

Hohenshell pleaded guilty in 2014, to third-degree sex abuse and five counts of supplying alcohol to minors. He was sentenced to five years in prison. He was also ordered to pay $5,527 in restitution.

However, he is set to be released after serving only 2 and 4 months of the sentence.

The family decided to sue Hohenshell, after they felt that the sentenced did not do justice to his crime. They sued for past and future medical expenses and infliction of emotional distress, among other things.

A jury awarded the victim and her family $127 million.

The family’s lawyer, Matt Lindholm, said that this was not about money as it is highly unlikely that they will recover a dime. If they do get any money, the family said, it will go to help other survivors.
