(Scroll down for video) A teenager called police and told the dispatcher that he shot his father in the chest.

When officers arrived, the teenager came out with his hands up and he said: “he attacked me and I shot him” before he was arrested.

According to police in Maryland, 19-year-old Devin Vallade II was involved in a minor car crash, and his mother went to pick him up.

When they got home, the mother and son got into an argument over the accident.

His father, who has the same name as him, got involved in the argument and things got heated.

When Vallade II allegedly became violent, his father, 46-year-old Devin Vallade, who is an Army veteran, his wife and their other son locked themselves inside the master bedroom.

Meanwhile, Vallade II went downstairs and retrieved his father’s 45 caliber gun. He then busted the door of the master bedroom open.

His mother begged him to drop the gun. When he refused, his father stepped forward and that is when he opened fire, killing his father, according to police.

Baltimore police said that they were called to the home about three years ago for a verbal altercation between the father and son.

The teenager was charged with first and second-degree murder.
