(Scroll down for video) A man who was angry with his grandmother who constantly nagged about taking long showers, decided to kill her, according to police in Washington.

Camas police said that they have arrested 27-year-old Benjamin Wayne Walker, after being accused of slitting the throat of his grandmother, 78-year-old Joan E. Walker.

Benjamin has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. He was booked into jail, and his bail has been set at $1 million.

According to the police investigation, Benjamin was living at a home located at 3326 “H” Street, along with his parents, Terry and Dorothea Walker, and his grandmother.

Benjamin told police that his grandmother often punished him for leaving the lights on and using too much hot water while showering.

On Monday around 5:00 a.m., Benjamin drank a six pack and a 32 ounce beer. Benjamin then went to his grandmother’s bedroom and choked her using both hands.

He then used a kitchen knife to cut her throat to make sure she was dead.

The Clark County Medical Examiner's Office has determined the form of death as a homicide, and the cause was strangulation and multiple neck injuries.

Benjamin then walked over to the police station and confessed to the crime.
