Knoxville police have arrested 40-year-old Jessica Cox and 41-year-old Michael McIntosh, after his two teenage sons were starved and forced to sit in ice baths.

Austin McIntosh and Justin McIntosh, who were 14 and 16 years old when the abuse occurred, told the court that Michael and Jessica hit their heads and shoved their bodies into icy water while handcuffed.

They also burned their skin with cigarettes and were forced to keep their arms raised above their heads for hours. The two boys were sometimes handcuffed for hours to cabinets, the stove and a dishwasher.

The worst thing was that they were denied food and water.

Cox was convicted on 23 counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of reckless endangerment. Mike McIntosh pleaded guilty to fifteen counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of child abuse.
