College student hit and killed by speeding car hours after murdering 16-year-old girl

(Scroll down for video) Police are investigating a bizarre incident in which a college student was run over by a speeding car hours after he allegedly murdered a teenage girl, according to police in Japan.

Ishikawa police said that at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, they received a report about a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on a highway.

Police officers who responded to the scene, found the 21-year-old college student’s car nearby. Police learned that the man’s car was registered to his grandfather.

When officers arrived at the grandfather’s home at around 10:00 p.m., they found a bound teenage girl who was stabbed to death.

The girl was identified as 16-year-old Misa Ikeshita.

Investigators believe that the 21-year-old man abducted the girl from a bus stop and brought her to his grandfather’s home, where he stabbed her to death.

Ikeshita parents’ said that at around 6:30 p.m., the girl sent them a message that she was waiting for a bus and she would be home soon.

However, when she did not arrive home at around 7:30 p.m., the parents called police. Police went to the bus stop, where they found Ikeshita’s cellphone and her bag.
