A teen and her friend are facing capital murder charges for luring a drug dealer to a movie theater, where he was robbed and killed, according to police in Texas.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said that they have arrested 17-year-old Faith DeLeon and 16-year-old Christopher Rodriguez, after being accused of killing 18-year-old Daniel Gerding and shooting 18-year-old Colyn Timmons.
Both suspects were charged with one count of capital murder.
DeLeon was booked into the Harris County Jail, and she is being charged as an adult. Rodriguez has been booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, and is being charged as a juvenile.
According to the criminal complaint, DeLeon and Rodriguez lured the two victims to the Studio Movie Grill. The suspects told the victims that they would like to purchase marijuana.
When the suspects met Gerding and Timmons, they pulled out a gun asked for their money. The suspects set up the robbery because they wanted to buy new clothes.
DeLeon claims that Rodriguez fired shots at Gerding and Timmons. Gerding was rushed to the Cy Fair Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Timmons was taken to the Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.
