Police in Florida, said that the incident began during an argument over donuts and ended with one man dead and an officer injured.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said that 24-year-old Jeffrey Falsey, asked his mother to go out and buy him some donuts.

Falsey became angry when his mother refused his request. He began arguing with his mother, 63-year-old Susan DiFabbio.

Falsey screamed at his mother over the donuts and over the fact that she allowed her fiance, Dan Kulwicki, 68, to move into their home.

DiFabbio ran outside to call police when her son, who has mental illness, became violent. When police arrived, the 24-year-old killed the sex offender and he shot Deputy Michael Ficocelli in the leg.

Ficocelli was treated at a hospital, where he was treated and released. Falsey, who has a history of domestic violence, was arrested on charges including murder.
