Starbucks launched an investigation after an employee allegedly wrote the word “fat” on the cup of a young girl who came to the store to buy a frappuccino by herself.

11-year-old girl Teigahn Sangster of Fort Kinnaird, Scotland, said that she was excited to go to Starbucks by herself for the first time.

She came into the store and asked an employee for a small caramel frappuccino.

Sangster waited a few minutes, and was excited to get her cup until she noticed the word “fat” written on it instead of her name.

The girl’s mother Dionne Ford, expressed her outrage over the incident. Ford said that no person should be humiliated like this especially a young girl.

Sangster, who became distraught, called her mother from the store, and Ford told her to bring the cup home.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said that the company is investigating the incident, but so far, no action has been taken against the employee.
