(Scroll down for video) A Lyft driver lost her job after she was accused of stalking a passenger over $1.16.

56-year-old Karen Burd picked up the female passenger from her workplace at the DoubleTree hotel in Orange County, Florida.

She took the victim to her destination, and the woman paid for the ride in full through Lyft with her debit card, and Burd drove away.

However, the next day, Burd realized that her transponder did not pick up the $1.16 toll fee. She refused to pay it from her pocket and she wanted the customer to pay.

Burd went to the customer’s workplace a few times, and left notes for her, asking for the money.

The victim told her supervisor about the harassment and that she felt threatened, so they called police.

Burd was arrested on charges of misdemeanor stalking. Burd said that she was left traumatized over the arrest. She was booked into jail and released on $500 bail.

Burd does not believe that going to the woman’s workplace and leaving notes with the victim’s coworkers was considered stalking.
