A woman who fought with her friends while riding in an Uber car, decided to steal the vehicle and tried to run over the driver, according to police in Colorado.
On Saturday, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 700 block of Glenn Ridge Drive in Fort Collins, regarding a theft of a vehicle that had just occurred.
The Uber driver reported that when he arrived at the destination, a female passenger began fighting with other passengers and refused to exit the vehicle.
The driver got out to break up the fight, and the female passenger locked the doors of the vehicle. She then drove the vehicle through a yard, striking a retaining wall, a tree, and landscaping.
The Uber driver stated that he had to jump out of the way to prevent being run over prior to the female driving away from the scene.
It was also reported that the female was very intoxicated.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Fort Collins Police Services officers located the stolen vehicle with heavy front end damage at North College Avenue and Myrtle Street, where they conducted a high risk traffic stop.
The female ignored numerous commands from officers to exit the vehicle. She eventually complied, but refused commands to move away from the vehicle.
She was eventually taken into custody after being hit with pepper spray. The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Meagan Kathleen Osgood of Broomfield.

Osgood was released from the hospital, and later booked into the Larimer County Jail. Her bail has been set at $500.
