(Scroll down for video) A young boy lost his life while playing in a dressing room at a thrift store.

Denise Gonzalez said that her mother took her 4-year-old son Ryu Pena, along on a shopping trip to Again Thrift & More in Mankato, Minnesota, when the incident occurred.

Gonzalez said that her son was playing in the dressing room while her mother was trying on clothes in another room.

The boy found a stool, and he pulled it into the dressing room, where he was playing with it.

“He was just being a kid,” Denise Gonzalez said about her son. However, at some point, his hoodie got stuck on a hook and he was left hanging.

When his grandmother found him hanging, she called emergency workers at 5:40 p.m. The boy was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Investigators called the death a tragic accident and no charges have been filed. Gonzalez said that she does not blame her mother or the store for the accident.

The boy is survived by his mother, older sister and 4-month-old baby brother.
