A man filed a lawsuit to have his graduation certificates amended with a new name because companies refused to hire him, according to court documents in India.

25-year-old Saddam Hussain of Jharkhand, said that despite the slight spelling difference in his last name from the late dictator of Iraq, companies refused to hire him because they do not want to be associated with the brutal leader Saddam Hussein.

Saddam graduated from Noorul Islam University, where he earned a degree in Marine Engineering. His friends have all found jobs, but Saddam remains unemployed.

His job application was rejected by 40 companies. Recently, Saddam changed his name to Sajid.

However, despite his new name, Saddam is still unable to find a job as his graduation certificate still bears his old name, leaving him unable to prove that he has a degree in Marine Engineering.

He is now suing in court to have his graduation certificate amended to show his new name.

Saddam said that he is not blaming his grandfather for giving him the name because at the time of his birth, it was not known that the former Iraqi leader was brutal to his own people.
