A Formula 1 racer, who could not stop speeding on residential streets, lost her license after failing to obey a court order that prohibited her from driving her car above the posted speed limit, according to court documents in the United Kingdom.

34-year-old Susie Wolff of Oxfordshire, was recently caught driving at 35 miles per hour in a 30 mile-per-hour zone.

Wolff, who currently works for Mercedes, already had 9 points on her driver’s license after being caught speeding several times before the latest incident.

She appeared before a magistrate judge, who suspended her license for six months. Wolff appealed the decision to the Oxford Crown Court, but the ruling was upheld.

Wolff told the judge that losing her driver's license is very embarrassing, and will damage her career and affect her charity work.

The judge told her to stop her dangerous driving and rejected her plea for leniency.

Wolff was given a fine of 500 pounds ($621) and ordered to pay 345 pounds ($429) in costs and a 15 pound ($18) victim surcharge.

Wolff runs the Dare to be Different charity, which encourages young girls to take part in motor sports. She is married to Mercedes F1 executive director Toto Wolff.
