A man is facing multiple child porn charges after being accused of buying a child sex doll on the Internet, and having it delivered to his home, according to police in Canada.

Newfoundland and Labrador police said that they have arrested 51-year-old Kenneth Harrisson, after the Canada Border Services Agency intercepted the child sex doll before it was delivered to his home.

Harrisson of St. John's, has been charged with one count of possessing child pornography, one count of mailing obscene matter, two counts of violating the federal Customs Act of smuggling and one count of possession of prohibited goods.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Peter Collins testified in court that the child sex doll violated the country’s child porn laws as people who are attracted to such dolls move on to having sex with children.

Collins concluded that the doll was meant to be seen as a child based on its height of about 120 centimeters, around four feet tall, and a related website advertised it as a child sex doll.

Harrisson bought the doll from a company in Japan.

The company mailed the doll to Harrisson’s home, but the Canada Border Services Agency seized it for being a prohibited item.
