(Scroll down for video) A member of parliament admitted to beating a flight attendant with a shoe because he was not given a business class seat on a plane, according to police in India.

Air India said that the company has filed a complaint with the police against MP Ravindra Gaikwad, after being accused of using his shoe to hit the flight attendant 25 times.

The 60-year-old flight attendant said that his glasses broke as a result of the attack. The incident unfolded after the member of the Shiv Sena boarded the plane.

Gaikwad asked the Air India flight attendant to show him to his business class seat. When the flight attendant made him aware that the plane was an all economy flight, Gaikwad became angry.

He took off his shoe and repeatedly beat the flight attendant.

When Gaikwad was later asked about the incident, he admitted to the assault because the flight attendant was arrogant. So far, no arrests have been made.

Air India said that they are thinking about putting the member of parliament on a no fly list due to his violent outbreak.

The speaker of the parliament however, warned that the government will prohibit airlines from having a no fly list in order for the member of parliament to be able to fly.
