A police detective betrayed the trust of his community by peeking into windows of children’s bedrooms and pleasuring himself, according to police in New York.

The Rockville Centre Police Department said that they have arrested Detective Robert Francis, 46, after being accused of pleasuring himself while looking into the homes of his victims.

Francis, who is a married father, has been charged with one count each of public lewdness, endangering the welfare of a child and trespassing.

According to the police investigation, Francis worked as a police detective at the 71st precinct in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

The Rockville Centre Police Department received several calls between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., to report a man who was pleasuring himself in front of their windows.

During each incident, Francis approached the window of his victim and began pleasuring himself. He then turned on his flashlight and pointed it at the window to catch his victim’s attention.

When the victim came to the window, Francis pointed the flashlight at his exposed private parts before fleeing from the scene.

Francis was caught by police after the latest victim’s parents called police around 2:30 a.m., and he was found on the property with his private parts exposed.
