A lawyer is suing Food Lion, after one of their employees assaulted him because of a complaint about an unflushed toilet, according to court documents in Virginia.

Norfolk police said that they have charged 26-year-old Gregory J. Thomas with assault after punching Jefrey G. Booth, during an argument about the unflushed toilet.

Booth, who is an attorney, is suing Food Lion, claiming that the company is liable for the actions of their employees.

Booth is seeking $500,000 in compensation as the punches knocked him off hiss feet and his sweater was pulled over his head.

So far, police have not arrested Thomas.

According to Booth, the incident began when he visited the Food Lion located at 3530 Tidewater Drive.

While Booth was shopping for groceries, he had to use the toilet. When Booth went into the toilet, he saw Thomas walking away from the urinal and making his way out the door.

Booth asked Thomas why he did not flush the toilet. Thomas told him that it was none of his business and tried to assault the attorney.

After Booth backed away, Thomas left. Booth went to complain to an assistant manager, who claimed that the store does not have an employee named Thomas.

While Booth was speaking with the manager of the store, Thomas came through a door with a sign “For Personnel Only” and punched him several times.
