Teen girl shot in the behind during water balloon fight that turned violent

(Scroll down for video) A teenage girl suffered a gunshot wound to the behind during a water balloon fight at a park when a group of students decided to skip school, according to police in Alabama.

Birmingham police said that the violence erupted on Friday afternoon, at the Tom Bradford Park.

About 15 students who attend the Huffman High School, were celebrating Senior Skip day at the park when they decided to hold a water balloon fight.

However, during the water balloon fight, someone pulled out a gun and fired a shot. In response, several students pulled out their guns and fired back.

In total, 15 shots were fired. One girl was hit in the eye while another girl suffered a gunshot wound in the behind. A third student suffered a cut from broken glass.

The students were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated and releases. So far, no arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the school condemned the violence and said that there is no official Senior Skip Day, and all students had to be in class on Friday.
