A mother was not going to allow a burglar to hurt her young children or steal anything from her home.

The mother of Florida, released surveillance video, showing the moment the would be robber fled for his life when she pointed a gun at him.

The video began with the suspect, a black male, knocking at the door. When nobody answered, he made several attempts to break her door down.

The mother said that she ran to the room to get the gun. She explained that she was shaking, but ready to protect her family.

When the suspect was finally able to get inside, he was confronted by the mother who was holding a shotgun.

The man quickly ran out of the home and headed towards a white car, which he had parked on the woman’s lawn in order to be able to get away quickly after the burglary.

However, the would be robber did not know that the mother was ready to protect her children, who are 3 and 10 years old, at all costs.

The mother, who did not want to be identified, said that as the suspect was running for his life, he kept looking back to make sure that she was not going to just shoot him in the back.

The mother released the video in hopes that someone recognizes the suspect and turns him in to police.
