Man dressed in orange Crocs uses hairbrush to rob McDonald’s

(Scroll down for video) A man who desperately needed some cash, armed himself with a hairbrush and robbed a McDonald’s, according to police in Texas.

Groves Police Officers have arrested 29-year-old Gevondis Demond Joseph, after being accused of robbing $130 from McDonald’s while wearing a black cloth and orange Crocs.

According to the police investigation, officers received a call about a robbery and responded to an aggravated robbery at McDonald’s in the 4500 block of Twin City Hwy.

Officers were told that the suspect was wearing a black piece of clothing over his face, a leopard print robe, orange gloves, and orange Crocs.

Officers arrived in the area, and located the suspect fleeing the scene. A short foot pursuit ensued, and he was taken into custody in the parking lot the Cricket Wireless Store.

Officers were originally advised that the would-be robber was armed with a handgun. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that he used a hairbrush under his robe to make it appear as a weapon.

Officers recovered $130, and it was returned to the restaurant.

Joseph was arrested, and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. He was charged with aggravated robbery, a first degree felony.

If convicted, Joseph up to 20 years in prison.
