A man is being held in prison without bond after robbing his own mother at gunpoint.

Deputies in Florida, arrested the man of Royal Palm Beach, after he robbed his own mother at gunpoint.

Court documents reveal that 24-year-old Anthony Vazquez, jumped on the hood of his mother’s car, pointed a gun at her and asked her to hand over her prescription pills.

His mother managed to drive away. However, her son soon returned with his girlfriend, 25-year-old Lindsay Newsome of Boynton Beach.

The two then stole his mother’s pills at gunpoint, according to the arrest report.

The two were arrested. Vazquez was charged with armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bail.

Newsome is being held on $25,000 bond. She was also ordered to stay away from her boyfriend’s mother.

Vazquez’s mother said her son has struggled with an addiction to prescription painkillers for years, but recently, he began to act more aggressive.
