(Scroll down for video) Police have arrested a homeowner for killing an intruder.

The homeowner, 59-year-old Bruce Fanning, lives in Washington, where he owns two properties next to each other on East Trails Road.

The homeowner lives in one home and he runs his Internet business from the second home.

One morning, he arrived to work at 8:00 a.m., and found that someone had forced the door open. When the homeowner went inside, he found the intruder taking a shower.

Police said that the homeowner confronted the intruder, who was identified as 31-year-old Nathaniel Joseph Rosa, who works as a teacher for special needs children, after finding him in the shower.

They got into a heated argument before the homeowner left. He went to his home, retrieved a firearm and went back to his office.

Police said that the homeowner shot Rosa without giving him reasonable warning. Rosa died at the scene.

The homeowner has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Police said that the homeowner was not in danger and he had enough time to call police after he left the home.
