Married cop commits suicide after admitting to groping boys

A married police officer committed suicide in his home after he was questioned about molesting boys.

The officer of Mississippi, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot in an apparent suicide after he allegedly admitted to detectives that he molested boys.

52-year-old Ronnie Russ Robinson was investigated by the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation began when a 17-year-old boy claimed that he was groped by the officer who pulled him over while driving.

Robinson, a Tishomingo police officer, was driving an unmarked vehicle when he saw the teenager in a parking lot of a Dollar General store in Glen.

He allegedly told the teen that he had sex with two boys earlier that day, and he made advances towards the teen.

The boy told the officer that he was not interested, and reported the crime to his parents, who contacted the Alcorn County sheriff’s department.

Robinson reportedly admitted to the attack and to molesting other boys when he was interrogated.

According to his obituary, Robinson was a lifelong law enforcement officer, having served in several state, county, and city agencies. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters, a son and six grandchildren.
