(Scroll down for video) A couple, who did not want to lose their jobs, were arrested at work for leaving their young children in a mall without supervision.

The couple worked as janitors in the Eastview Mall, in Victor, New York, at the time of the incident.

39-year-old Jean Seide, and his wife Bilaine Seint-Just, 36, were accused of leaving their children alone on a bench inside the mall for six hours while they were working.

Seide said that they checked on the children throughout the day. They also provided the children with food and a cell phone to call them if needed.

However, authorities said that this was unacceptable as the children were very young.

The couple’s baby is just one-month-old and the older children are 8 and six years old.

The husband and wife were arrested and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The couple’s community of Rochester, created a GoFundMe page named “Child Care Fund for Jean & Bilaine. They are looking for money to help the couple find child care.

“No woman wants to have to work only 4 weeks after giving birth. Our bodies are not even ready. These parents did this out of necessity. We want them to know that we understand it takes a village to raise a child. We want to be that village. Help us find them reliable child care and let Bilaine take maternity leave,” Amy Lynn Nam wrote on GoFundMe.

They already raised $18,300 of their $10,000 goal. NFL player Branden Albert, who is a native from Rochester, matched donations and he gave $7,500 towards the campaign.
