A young boy sparked panic after his parents were unable to find him at home one morning, according to police in the United Kingdom.
Dunston police said that they have launched a massive manhunt to find 9-year-old Josh Dinning, after his mother call 999 on Tuesday 9:00 a.m., to report him missing.
Michelle, 49, told police that she last saw her son on Monday at 9:30 p.m., when she put him to sleep in bed. When she went into his room on Tuesday morning, Josh was not in bed.
She looked around the house, but she could not find him.
Police deployed numerous officers, a helicopter and boats to search for the missing boy, but they were unable to find him.
Suddenly, after more than 3 hours of searching, Josh was found hiding underneath his bed when police officers went into his room for a second look.
Josh said that he managed to crawl into the wooden frame of the bed through a small gap. He told police that he heard people looking for him, but he was afraid to come out and be yelled at.
Many people are angry that the family caused police to waste thousands of dollars on an expensive search instead of looking for the boy in his room.
