A couple and their toddler of the United Kingdom, suffered injuries after they were attacked with acid.

Witnesses told police that the mother was pushing her 2-year-old son in a stroller as she was walking with her husband when they were attacked.

The incident occurred in broad daylight, near a store in Islington, London.

Police said that the boy suffered minor burns to his face. The 36-year-old mother and the 40-year-old father suffered burns to 15 percent of their bodies.

The father is said to have suffered “life-changing injuries.”

A woman who saw the family being attacked at 1:00 p.m., ran to a nearby store to buy water to help soothe the burns.

Store owner Murat Kayran, 43, who identified the family as Chinese, said that a woman ran frantically into the store and said that there had been an acid attack.

She bought one bottle of water. A man then returned to buy three more bottles of water to help the family with their burns.

When an ambulance arrived, the family was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Police are looking for the suspects and for a motive of the attack, but so far, they have none.
