Police are looking to arrest two men and a woman who are accused of causing a woman to suffer a heart attack.

Police in New York, said that the burglars got into the home after a resident of the building on Kings Highway near E. 94th St. in Canarsie, opened the door for them.

Once inside, the burglars busted the door and went into the home of 68-year-old Brenda Ramos and her 40-year-old roommate Joseph Alexander.

The group were armed with hammers and they began ransacking the home at 3:00 a.m.

Alexander said that he was beaten with a hammer until he was unconscious. When he woke up, he was bloody and Brenda was on the floor knocked out. When he called 911, the thieves ran out.

They took Alexander’s wallet, cell phone and video game console. Surveillance video showed them leaving the building with a duffel bag.

The 68-year-old woman’s death was ruled a homicide after investigators determined that the hammer attack scared Brenda so much that it caused her to suffer a heart attack.
