A man who was angry with a cyclist, decided to obstruct a bike path in order to harm people, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Denbighshire police said that they have arrested 50-year-old David Roberts, after being accused of tying barbed wire to two trees, obstructing the bike path.

In court, Roberts has been found guilty of attempted assault occasioning actual bodily harm. A judge sentenced Roberts to 12 months of probation.

He was also ordered to observe a nightly curfew for three months.

According to the criminal complaint, Roberts walked his dog on the bike path when a motorcycle flew by him. Roberts became angry with the speeding cyclist and he began screaming at the driver.

The driver of the motorcycle then assaulted Roberts and his dog. In response, Roberts ties a rusty barbed wire to two trees, blocking the bike path.

A few days later, a cyclist stopped at the last moment before riding into the wire. He alerted police, and the wire was removed.

Police reviewed security surveillance in the area, and saw Roberts trying the barbed wire to the trees. Luckily, nobody was hurt as a result of the barbed wire.
