(Scroll down for video) Family members are delighted with the recovery of a woman who was involved in a serious car crash.

They are attributing her recovery to the help of the baby she gave birth to while she was in a coma.

Officer Amelia Banna of Argentina, was five months pregnant when she was in a traffic accident.

She and four other police officers were in a car, which was driven by her husband, Cristian Espindola. At some point, the car veered off the road.

The other officers were not injured, but Banna suffered a skull fracture that caused a blood clot in her head.

She was taken to a hospital, where she was in a coma. Two months after the accident, she gave birth to her son named Santino.

Santino was born healthy and he was taken home by her family, who cared for him. The family brought Santino to the hospital so that he can bond with his mother despite the fact that she was in a coma.

The family posted heartwarming photos of the baby smiling as he lied on his mother’s chest.

Three months after the birth, Banna woke up, despite doctors reservation that she would recover.

Banna’s brother Cesar Bannan, posted a video to Facebook, showing his sister, who still has limited mobility, holding her son on her chest for a few moments.

The brother was heard encouraging the new mother. He said: “Very good Amelia, grab him well.”
