Man kills barber shop owner for refusing to give him haircut for $2

(Scroll down for video) A barber in Florida, was killed during an argument over the price of a haircut.
The owner of a barber shop in Mount Dora, Florida, died Friday, after refusing to cut a man’s hair for the low price of $2.

According to witnesses, 36-year-old Ryan Thornhill entered The Giants Barber Shop located in the 2900 block of Old Highway 441 at about 6:30 p.m.

He asked for a haircut and he told the owner that he only wanted to pay $2.

When 39-year-old Wifredo Nieves, refused to give him a haircut for the low price, Thornhill left.

However, he later returned to the shop, but not for a haircut. Thornhill pulled out a gun and shot Nieves. Witnesses held Thornhill down until police arrived.

The barbershop owner was pronounced dead at the scene while the suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries he suffered while being taken down and detained by witnesses.

Thornhill was arrested and is being held without bail.
