(Scroll down for video) A father in Canada, was shocked when an Air Canada employee told him that there was no room on their scheduled flight for his young son.

Brett Doyle booked tickets for his family members, including his 10-year-old son.

When he tried to check in on the Internet, the system rejected his son.

When he arrived at the airport in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Brett was told that there was no room for his 10-year-old son due to overbooking.

The family wanted to go to Costa Rica for a vacation.

The mother of the child even offered to give up her seat for her son, but employees told her that there was no guarantee that the child would get it.

Brett and his family quickly drove to Moncton, New Brunswick, to catch another flight that had room for his entire family, but by the time he arrived at the airport, he was told that the fight was canceled.

The family eventually found another flight to Costa Rica.

Brett complained to Air Canada, but he did not get a response until his story went viral on the Internet, following the incident with another passenger on United Airlines.

Air Canada apologized to Brett, and offered him a voucher in the amount $2,500.

Airlines are under pressure since the flight crew of United Airlines called police to drag off 69-year-old David Dao, due to overbooking.

Brett said that after hearing the plight of Dao, he was happy Air Canada hadn’t dragged off his son from an airplane.
