(Scroll down for video) Two sisters who were living together, were killed at the same time during a domestic violence incident.

Police in Memphis, Tennessee, were called to a home at 2:15 a.m., after a man shot two women.

Police identified the victims as Kendall Brown, 27, and her younger sister, Kayla, 19.

They were shot by Kendall’s husband, 29-year-old George Earl Muhammad. He surrendered to police after the double shooting.

The couple have five children who are between the ages of 2 and 12. They were all inside the house at the time, but were not hurt.

The children are now being cared for by their grandparents.

According to police, Muhammad said that he came home early from work and saw his wife with another man in their home.

Muhammad stated that the couple got into a physical altercation over a handgun.

He claimed that when he finally gained control of the gun, he blacked out and that he does remember what happened next, according to an affidavit.

Muhammad also told police that he did not remember how he arrived at the police station to surrender or what he did with the gun that he apparently used to kill the sisters.

Muhammad, who was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, has a criminal history, including a conviction for assaulting his wife while she was six months pregnant.
