Police in Ireland, said that they have arrested a dog with anger issues after being caught jaywalking in middle of the night.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) wrote on Facebook, that they have arrested the small dog after it charged at police officers.

“This is Nigel the chihuahua,” police wrote alongside a photo of the dog. Nigel was named by Officer Wee N, who thinks that the dog looks like a Nigel.

Police encountered the dog at around 3:30 a.m. on Ashleigh Crescent, while on patrol of the Avenue Road area of Lurgan.

The officers got the dog into their police cruiser, and it relaxed in the back seat after assaulting two officers.

“Nigel didn’t want to play ball,” police said.

“He was subsequently arrested for jaywalking, disorderly behaviour and two counts of assault on police. The dog has got serious anger issues, and bit myself and Officer Big T.” PSNI wrote on Facebook.

“Normally I’d make a joke about keeping him as a new PD if no one claims him. Not Nigel. He’s an angry wee man and is seriously anti police! He wasn’t wearing a collar and seemed to be coming from the Avenue Road towards Orient Circle or Carrick Drive.

“Please find his owner. I like my fingers and don’t fancy their chances if he’s here another night. He’s currently sleeping on my jacket, which I have a feeling he’s not going to let me have back.

“Share this or tag any chihuahua owners you know. The incident number is 173 of 19/04/17. The owner will need to call up the station to get him,” police wrote in a press release.

Nigel is safe, and was reunited with its owners who saw the police appeal.
