Police are looking to arrest two men on charges of armed robbery and assault after allegedly blowing off the hand of a man who had no money to give them, according to police in Nigeria.

Lagos police said that the two robbers were angry that they have wasted their time following the poor man who had nothing to offer them.

According to the police investigation, the victim who was identified as Cyril, went to church late at night to ask God to turn around his life.

When Cyril left the church compound early the next morning, he realized that two men were following him. Cyril decided to ignore them because he was afraid.

When Cyril arrived at his home, the two thieves pulled out a gun and stormed into the residence. They searched the home for cash and valuables, but they did not find anything.

The robbers became angry, complaining that they have wasted their entire morning for nothing. One of them then fired a shot at Cyril’s hand, causing it to fall off.

The robbers then fled from the scene.

A neighbor who heard the shot, called for help, and Cyril was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his hand.

So far, no arrests have been made.
