The grand opening at a Domino’s Pizza in the United Kingdom, turned into chaos after many people fought to get inside.

Police were called to the new store in Whitehaven, after people fought as some customers tried to cut the line.

The frenzy came after Domino’s Pizza announced that it will be giving away a free slice of pizza to their first 100 customer.

Some parents brought their kids in order to treat the entire family to a free slice of pizza.

However, things got out of hand when many people arrived and they realized that they might not be among the first 100 people so they began pushing and attempting to cut in front of others.

Some drivers even abandoned their cars in middle of the street and blocked traffic because they did not want to look for parking and risk missing the opportunity to get the free slice of pizza.

Domino’s Pizza was delighted with the outpouring of support from residents despite the chaos.

A spokesperson for Domino’s said: “We were delighted to receive such an enthusiastic welcome by the residents of Whitehaven, and we look forward to bringing the unique taste of Domino’s to the area.”
