Police in Florida, were called to a school after a girl was left in tears when a bus driver touched her inappropriately.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested the bus driver for battery after he made unwanted contact with a 13-year-old Venice Middle School student.

The investigation began when the victim reported that her former bus driver, 70-year-old Leonard Villari, approached her in the school’s cafeteria and began playing with her hair.

Villari then entered the lunch line and winked at the victim before touching her hair and neck a second time. Deputies obtained surveillance videos from the cafeteria, which corroborated the victim’s story.

The victim told police that while Villari was her bus driver, he often called her “baby girl” and told her that he loved her.

Villari was charged with a single count of Battery. He was released after posting $25,000 bond.
