Man smacks girlfriend’s son because he ate the last breadstick

A man flew into a rage and beat his girlfriend’s young son because he ate the last breadstick in the home, according to police in West Virginia.

Mason County police said that they have arrested 36-year-old Benjamin Lucas Boster of Southside, after being accused of smacking the 6-year-old boy and bashing his head into a wall.

Boster has been charged with child abuse resulting in injury and child abuse creating risk of injury.

He was booked into the Western Regional Jail, pending a bail hearing.

The suspect faces up to 5 years in prison if convicted.

According to the police investigation, the father of the 6-year-old boy came to pick up his son from Boster’s home on Kanawha Valley Road around 9:00 p.m. on Friday.

The mother of the child told the father that he should keep an eye on the child because he fell and hit his head.

When the father asked his son what happened, the boy said that Boster smacked him and bashed his head into a wall because he ate the last breadstick in the home.

The boy also told police about additional instances of abuse.

The boy claimed that Bister made him eat off the floor, beat him with a stick and locked him out of the home after dark.
