(Scroll down for video) A self-righteous woman who fooled an entire country, is now facing corruption charges after being accused of using government funds to pay for her upscale lifestyle, according to officials in Australia.

Eman Sharobeem was considered to be named “the Australian of the Year” due to her work as a women’s rights activist.

She had two organizations, Immigrant Women’s Health Service (IWHS) and the Non-English Speaking Housing, which were supposed to help low income families.

Sharobeem also claimed to have psychology degrees in order to promote herself, but the government claims that she does not have any degree.

The New South Wales Government gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Immigrant Women’s Health Service and Non-English Speaking Housing.

Records allegedly showed that Sharobeem used the organization credit cards and bank account to fund her upscale lifestyle.

She accused of using government funds to purchase luxury items, including jewelry and cosmetics. She even used government funds for dental work.

Sharobeem purchased a Mercedes with government funds, and renovated a home, which she later sold for a large profit.

In total, Sharobeem spent around $685,000 on herself instead of helping the poor.
