(Scroll down for video) A burglar was left with nothing but injuries after breaking into a home and messing with the wrong man.

Police in Florida, announced that they have arrested 40-year-old
Luis Bardisa, after he was treated at a hospital.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office called the break-in a “bad idea.” Detectives said that Bardisa broke into a residence in the 8000 Block of Binkley Street.

He threatened the homeowner and his girlfriend, before escaping without taking any positions.

As Bardisa fled from the scene, the homeowner ran after him and he managed to detain the suspect.

“As you can see, Bardisa received some facial abrasions while the homeowner restrained him until deputies arrived,” police wrote on Facebook with the accompanying photo of Bardisa’s mug shot.

Bardisa was taken to a hospital for treatment before being taken into custody. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail.

Bardsa was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, armed burglary of occupied residence, trespassing, and larceny.

One woman wrote on Facebook that the suspect is lucky to be live. “He chose to break into an occupied home and threatened the homeowners, lucky to be alive,” she wrote.
