(Scroll down for video) The owner of a car released dash cam footage, showing the moment a plane exploded into a huge fireball after hitting an electric pole and traffic light on a highway.

Luckily, the pilot and a passenger survived the plane crash that occurred in Mukilteo, Washington, on Tuesday.

The dash cam video showed the moment when the plane crashed in the traffic light. Fuel and parts of the plane rained down on the road and on cars.

The power lines were cut off after the plane clipped the traffic light. The plane hit at least five cars as it landed on Harbour Pointe Boulevard, and erupted in a ball of fire.

The pilot and the passenger were able to walk away from the wreckage uninjured.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the aircraft was a single-engine Piper PA32, which took just a few moments earlier from Runway 16R at the nearby Paine Field.

The pilot told investigators that he started losing power and was unable to restart the engine. He quickly looked for the safest spot to land.

When he saw that the Harbor Pointe Boulevard was clear, he headed to that direction. However, as he went down, he hit the power lines and traffic lights, causing about 9,000 customers to loss power in the area.
