(Scroll down for video) People were shocked to learn that a beloved doctor who cared deeply about his patients, was killed by his own daughter.

27-year-old Christina Nicassio of Pennsylvania, stabbed her father to death before blaming Hollywood and saying that she was inspired by the film The Mummy Returns.

Christina’s mother said that she went through a difficult break-up with her fiance last week.

She began acting irrationally since then. According to her mother, on Saturday, Christina “was acting irrationally and not making sense,” so they decided to take her to a hospital for an evaluation.

However, Christina refused to go to the hospital. As he parents tried to get her into the car, she pulled a knife on her father.

Her mother Sandra, called police to the couple’s home in the 9900 block of Capri Cour in Plum Borough at 3:00 a.m.

By the time police arrived, it was too late. Christina had already stabbed her father, 69-year-old Dr. Anthony Nicassio, twice in the chest. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to the police report, Christina told officers that she “got played by Hollywood.” She went on to explain that “in a movie, someone who can’t love someone else, stab their father.”

When asked what movie she was referring to, Christina said “The Mummy Returns.”

Anthony left behind his wife Sandra, two sons, Anthony and Mark, and daughter Christina, who was arrested for the murder.

Christina is being held at the Allegheny County Jail, on charges of criminal homicide and possessing an instrument of crime.
